Frustrating Away Match for 2's

Sutton Valence 2s travelled to Rochester for a late afternoon match vs Old Williamsonians.
Valence started brightly, enjoying a lot of early posession, moving the ball well and winning a couple of penalty corners. This posession, after good work down the right wing, resulted in Tom Willson slotting home, only for the goal to be chalked off for an infrigement.
Despite their frustration Valence continued pressing and moving the ball, and were rewarded with another penalty corner, expertly dispatched by Ben Tragett, through the keeper's legs.
This sparked OW into life and they started to have more posession. A pass to the top of the D found their centre forward who found the bottom corner to equalise.
OW were now pressing more and in a similar move the same player had another shot from the top of the D, which Ross couldn't prevent from trickling over the line, and Valence ended the half 2-1 behind.
Valence started the 2nd half slower than the first and were punished early on with an OW attack leaving the defence outnumbered, a cross to the far post finding a player unmarked who slotted home for 3-1.
The rest of the half was a tough contest with both teams creating chances, but OW held firm for the win.
