Tough Start to 2025 for 3’s
Sutton Valance 3’s travled to Old Williamsonians after an extra long winter break.
Sutton Valance started strong with string of good passes that penetrated the oppostions half but unfortenately they could not convert this into goals with them going just wide or hitting the post.
Old Williansonians made the break though witha short corner that was placed bottom corner dispite the keepers pad getting there, Old Williamsonians followed this up a short time after with a well hit shoot though a crowed which left the keeper wron footed, Sutton Valance didnt let there heads drop and continued to push to the half time whistle.
Second Half Began the way the first finished with both teams pushing into each others D’s and both keepers having to put some saves in to keep the score line as it was.
Unfortenately Old Williamsonians made life difficult for the Sutton Valance defence with some great balls down the wings and middle to outnumber the Sutton Valance defence which they managed to convert two of these into goals.
Sutton Valance never letting there heads drop pushed and with a smart ball that made its way to Captin Rob Cockayne who sloted it though the keepers legs and a cry of “come on lads one more we can do this”, But some quick play and passes saw Old Williamsonians make one last attack of the game and slotted home the final goal of the game.
Game ended 5-1 but dispite the score line the game was played in a good manner.
