Sutton Valence Hockey Club

Sutton Valence 3rd XI joined the league for the first time two seasons ago in the lowest Division 9 from previously playing friendlies as a Veterans’ team. To their surprise they won and were promoted to Division 8 in which they again did well enough to be promoted again. From this season they are in Division 7 where the level of competition will be tougher.
The team is a mixture of mature players from the previous Vets’ team and other established and newer members, and potentially some of the emerging young talent that the club has to offer. The Sutton Valence 3rd XI could eventually develop into a platform for the transition between youth and adult hockey for the highly active and successful junior division.
The team is captained by Club Chairman Rob Cockayne, with Rod Harcourt as vice-captain.
