Sutton Valence Hockey Club

Sutton Valence 3rd XI joined the league for the first time last season in the lowest Division 9 from previously playing friendlies as a Veterans’ team. To their surprise they won and from this season have been promoted to Division 8.
The team is a mixture of mature players from the previous Vets’ team and other established and newer members, and potentially some of the emerging young talent that the club has to offer. The Sutton Valence 3rd XI could eventually develop into a platform for the transition between youth and adult hockey for the highly active and successful junior division.
The team is captained by Club Secretary and last season’s highest goal scorer, Rob Cockayne, with Club stalwart Andy McVarish as vice-captain.
